Along with some crazy things I’ve witnessed this weekend, I also realized that bald youth ministers seem more effective. Perhaps we may need to chalk this up on the “Qualifications of a Youth Minister” blog below! Unless you can pull off the bald look, you do not belong in youth ministry.
The overriding theme during this conference is “Seriously Ridiculous!” It’s true to say the least. This is my final night here at the Nashville Convention Center and I can seriously say that I had a blast, but I am glad it’s over (for me anyway)! It’s pretty cool to be able to connect with hundreds of people and share about the ministry you’re passionate about. I love seeing people who love Jesus and the work of His gospel.

Beginning today and all throughout the weekend, I’ll be on location at the 2008 National Youth Workers Convention. NYWC has been around almost 40 years providing training and teaching from several featured authors, speakers, and practitioners for thousands of youth pastors, workers, and volunteers. Randall House will be showcasing the D6 Conference: Reconnecting Parents with Kids. This is a exciting time for our team. We had a blast last year in San Diego and Atlanta and we’re looking forward to an amazing time at the Nashville Convention Center this weekend! Maybe I’ll meet Crowder this year!
