As mentioned on the home page, my AML Leukemia diagnosis of August 2022 was one of the best things to happening to me. Please don’t miss understand, I’m thankful it is in remission, I care not to go through it again, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. There have been some incredibly dark days, major anxieties, adversities, and challenges. HOWEVER, the opportunities the Lord has given us to minister to other people has been a complete work of God’s incredible grace. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

I wish I had the time to tell you all the stories of how God has used this cancer — from loving and caring for doctors, nurses, and other medical staff, to praying and encouraging other cancer patients, and to simply share what the Lord has done in my life. I’m forever thankful. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

There is still a bit to go in my Leukemia journey. I was diagnosed in August 2022, had a Stem Cell Transplant in December of 2022, spent a total of two months in the hospital (August and December), have had 7 Bone Marrow Biopsies, weekly appointments, and even now — while in remission, I am receiving rounds of Maintenance Chemo every 5-7 weeks… and will continue to do so for the next couple years (hopefully by December 2024 they will be complete). The Maintenance Chemo isn’t bad. It has its hang ups, but one thing I love is being able to go to the Infusion Clinic at TN Oncology and reconnect with the staff and other patients. It’s more opportunity to love on them! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

As for my ministry history, I'm thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to serve Christ and His Church in a variety of ways over the last 25+ years. I’ve served as a Youth Leader, Associate Pastor, and Lead Pastor. I’ve served on various State Boards and Committees — the most recent as the Moderator of the Southern Quarterly of the Cumberland Association of Churches comprised of about 13 churches. I’ve also had the opportunity to serve one of our National Agencies working with Local Churched across the country. God has certainly blessed me with great leaders to follow, great friendships, and a wonderful working knowledge of ministry on every level. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

As you can imagine, serving in ministry for this long you also come up against many hardships that can lead to some very discouraging days. I’ve certainly experienced those days — far too many sadly to say. BUT, the Lord in His grace and mercy has brought me through and has taught me some very valuable lessons through the years. He grace is indeed sufficient! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Concerning family life, I have been blessed there as well. In August of 2003, I married the love of my life, Rena — who is much more than I deserve, and God has blessed us with three precious gifts — Jovie, Mia, and Seth. Parenting can be a challenge, but my hope and prayer is to be a good steward of the children God has given us. I’m certainly not a perfect dad, but I am thankful to serve and Good Good Father and it’s my desire to simply point my kiddos (my crazies - as I affectionately call them) to JESUS! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
